FAQs
No degree required! All are welcome to register for the workshops offered, although some may require a set level of skills or knowledge in a certain programme or software which will be indicated in the workshop information.
You can indeed. Group bookings are welcome but we will require each participant to fill out a form with their details before we can register them. Becuase each workshop is hands-on we can only take a small number of people so it would pay to register early or enquire with us first as we cannot guarantee everyone a place. You’ll find a simple form and all our details on our CONTACT page.
If you are a student or a senior you may qualify for a discount. For students you must be a current full-time student enrolled at any NZ university- so don’t forget to bring your student ID with you to the workshop. If you are 65+ you qualify for a discount too- hurrah! So look out for these options when you register for any of the Marker workshops.
All workshops will be held on AUT University’s Wellesley Campus in Auckland’s city centre (unless stated otherwise). Registered participants will be sent a map in their reminder email a few days before the workshop indicating where the building is on campus.
It would be a good idea (if you don’t travel into the city often) to map out a route to get there or you can visit maxx.co.nz to plan your journey if you wish to use public transport. Parking is available on the streets around the city but time restrictions and fees still apply on Saturdays.
There is a large amount of metered on-the-street parking in Auckland’s city centre and there are a few parking buildings which would suit day-long workshops [there is one on St Paul Street]. Please ensure you arrive early to allow for time to park your car. Car pooling is great solution, so get a mate to register too and you can go together.
Alternatively there are many buses runing in, out and around the CBD that can get you where you need to go- visit maxx.co.nz to map out your journey.
Most workshops will include all materials in the cost but you may wish to bring along a pen and paper if you wish to write notes. Workshops that require extra materials or equipment will state this in the full workshop description so make sure you check you have everything before you leave the house!
As part of AUT policy, International Students are required to have insurance while in NZ. We have just added the minimum payment required to cover insurance for each workshop so you don’t miss out!
